The Third Dimension : Volume 28
February 16, 2009 -- February 28, 2009
The Third Dimension attempts to shine light on some of the amazing 3D artwork that gets submitted to deviantART. This bi-weekly news article serves as a platform to promote 3D deviations that may have otherwise been lost in the sea of digital art submissions. These selections are based on my opinion of what constitutes originality, high quality, and/or uniqueness in 3D artwork.
Enjoy.

3D Community Project
Do you see much 3D on DA?
Are you tired of not getting enough faves, watches, and pageviews?
Do you want the rest of DA to realise that 3D art can be just as good as every other medium out there?
Well that's what we are going to attempt with this project!

The IDEA
To show the rest of the DA world that the 3D Community is truly a big and beautiful thing!
The WHY
Join us with this, You will not only represent your art medium but also your choice of software, Show the creators of DA, this club and your software truly what we can do.
The HOW
Each and everyone who is dedicated to showing off the 3D world is going to make a character. They will then be collaborated together to show us all as one, hopefully huge, society of nerds alike. :D
The WHEN
As of today this is starting, and it doesn't have an end date, everyone can have their character added to it when it is completed, this kind of thing should never have an end.
The RULES
:bulletblue: Any 3D

So I noticed it's been almost two years since my last journal entry.  Funny thing I was posting about my 3d printer at the time and it is currently printing in the background after not using it for months I've done 5 successful prints in the last week.

So what have I been up to... let's see, I made three awesome 3D mixed multimedia pieces at the beginning of 2016.  I went to visit my dad in March of 2016 and we built a gate leg table with storage drawers in the middle that he designed using my measurements.  It was a bear but so glad to have his help and skill.

I came home from that and within a week I couldn't keep anything down.  I have several health problems and one of the things that comes with two of those problems is gastroparesis.  Basically my stomach doesn't move food through.  So this continued on until the end of July when I finally got in to see a GI at the university hospital.  I was admitted on the spot because of the amount of weight I had lost and they were concerned my heart could stop.  That was a Friday and on that Monday August the first I was the first patient down in surgery to have a permanent feeding tube put in that by passes my stomach.

I've lost more weight since then but my energy levels are much better.  I even went to my dad's in October with plans I drew up for a lift top coffee table which I built with some input from him and use of his tools.

In December the gallery I was a part of closed for several reasons.  In a way it was a good thing for me as I wasn't sure I was going to be able to continue to put in the effort needed to stay a member, but I do miss it.

Living with a feeding tube is a challenge, I did it from August of 2000 to April of 2008 so I have some experience.  Although I wasn't as dependent on it that time as I am now. I am lucky to have family near by and Bodhi who gets me out of bed every day.  I also have my art and my writing when I am able to keep my sanity intact and good friends.

So how have you all been doing?  Did I miss any big things that happened in your lives over the last year or so?
I'm hardly ever here.  I think because I don't think about it when I'm on my computer which isn't as often as it used to be a lot because of my health.  But I've added the app to my phone so maybe I'll be a little more active?

How's everyone doing?
